In addition to the Single Camera Shoot Considerations we now want to know many cameras are necessary. How many operators? Some questions that you can save money: Can we get away with some stationary cameras? Can you supply the operators and/or cameras? Can you supply the crew? Does Central Image have interns? Central Image basically has two different approaches to a Multi Camera Shoot: First is the controlled direction of or video van that live directs and switches up to 5 cameras. Whenever possible we build in redundancy to record a well made final product. The audio is mixed live from mikes placed close to the performers. At the end of the shoot you get a VHS/DVD copy of the final digital mix and a VHS/DVD copy of the cameras on a quad tape. Editing is sometimes included after the shoot and sometimes not. The second approach is to shoot according to a plan without direction and digitally edit the tapes together after the shoot. All of the above methods work with multiple cameras of a single event. A third approach is to do many takes with a single camera. Do you want fixed tripod shots or mobile hand held shots? The final cost will depend upon the time necessary for travel and set up for the event as well as the time of event itself and your answers to the money saving questions above. We use all digital cameras and digital recorders to provide the cleanest image and sound. Above all we are flexible and reliable.
